A Discord bot that joins your voice channel, records the session, transcribes it with speaker identification in over 30 languages, and generates a narrative chronicle alongside an evolving lore wiki. Recording is Discord-only; since v1.1 a session can also arrive as pasted text, saved exactly as written. A campaign dashboard lets the group browse chronicles, search the wiki and manage campaigns, with dialogue labelled by character name. It works with any tabletop RPG played over Discord voice — D&D, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, FATE, Savage Worlds and Lancer are all named on its site.
What it says about its own limits
- Kazkar says it is “Discord-only, so in-person sessions aren’t supported yet”, and that it has no mobile app.
What Kazkar is genuinely good at
- Chronicles that read like prose about your campaign rather than a summary of a meeting — a deliberate voice, consistently applied.
- Labelling dialogue by character name rather than Discord handle.
- A relationship graph — a visual network of how every character, faction and location connects, rebuilt automatically after each session.
- A dashboard the whole group browses, rather than output that only the GM ever sees.
- Being clear in public about what it does not yet do, which is rarer than it should be.
Where Daria differs
She records tables that are not on Discord. Open the recording page on a laptop or phone at a physical table and Daria captures the room, separates the voices out of that single track, and asks you to name each one once. Hybrid nights — some players in the room, some dialling in — work the same way. She also imports what you recorded elsewhere: Craig links, Zoom recordings, audio files up to 2GB, Crit Scribbler transcript exports.
She can read your dice. The optional Foundry module adds rolls, spell casts, item uses and conditions at the moment they happened, with whispered, blind and self-rolls filtered inside Foundry and chat messages never transmitted.
Answers point at their source. /ask and the dashboard chat link back to the session and scene, and the campaign is queryable from Claude or ChatGPT through the MCP server.
On style the two are close cousins — Daria also writes prose rather than minutes, cuts the evening into its real scenes, and paints the moments that mattered.
