A web app with a Discord bot that records your voice chat with each speaker on their own track — or takes an audio file you upload, including a ZIP with one track per speaker. It transcribes the session, generates recaps and campaign notes with current AI models, and auto-extracts a campaign wiki of NPCs, locations, items, factions and lore across sessions. It integrates with D&D Beyond for party management, and lets you select any transcript range and export it as a styled video or audio clip — from clean transcript overlays to composited gameplay footage.
What it says about its own limits
- Bardlog is in closed beta, and its own site currently says every beta party slot is claimed.
- Bardlog says recording and transcription cost nothing, and that its AI features run on prepaid credits rather than a subscription.
What Bardlog is genuinely good at
- Clip export. Pick any transcript range and get a styled, shareable video of it. For a table that posts its best moments, that is a category of its own.
- D&D Beyond integration for party management.
- Per-speaker tracks when it records through Discord, or when you upload one file per speaker — so attribution is recorded rather than inferred on those routes.
- Being explicit about which AI models it uses — it names Claude Opus 4.6, GPT-5.2 and Gemini 3 Pro on its own homepage.
Where Daria differs
She records tables that are not on Discord. A laptop or phone at a physical table captures the room live; Daria separates the voices out of that single track and has you name each once. Bardlog’s route to an in-person game is to record it yourself and upload the file.
She reads Foundry rather than D&D Beyond. The optional module adds dice rolls, spell casts, item uses and condition changes to the transcript at the moment they happened, so a recap can name the roll that decided a fight. Whispered, blind and self-rolls are filtered inside Foundry and never transmitted; chat messages are never sent. If your party lives in D&D Beyond, that is Bardlog’s ground rather than hers.
Answers cite what they came from. /ask and the dashboard chat link back to the session and scene, and the same campaign is queryable from Claude or ChatGPT through the MCP server.
Daria also produces her own visual output — scene artwork painted from what actually happened, and a highlight video — though a clip cut from an arbitrary transcript range is something Bardlog does and Daria does not.
