What SessionKeeper is

A campaign companion that records your session however it happens: in its iOS, Android or web app, or through a Discord bot in your voice channel. It transcribes with speaker identification, builds a self-updating campaign wiki of characters, locations and storylines, and adds character portraits, achievements based on your game, and recap “podcasts” to listen to between sessions. It states that its AI never trains on your campaigns.

Where SessionKeeper beats Daria

Where Daria differs

She can read your virtual tabletop. The optional Foundry module puts dice rolls, spell casts, item uses and condition changes into the transcript at the moment they happened, so a recap can say which roll decided a fight. Whispered, blind and self-rolls are filtered inside Foundry and never transmitted, and chat messages are never sent at all.

Answers carry their sources. Ask /ask in Discord or use the dashboard chat and every answer links back to the session and scene behind it. When the summaries come back thin she escalates to the raw transcript rather than guessing, and says so when the answer is not there.

The campaign is reachable from outside her app. Daria is an MCP server: connect Claude or ChatGPT once and it can search your sessions, characters, lore and canon with sources, from any device — no copying session notes between apps.

On the shared ground the approaches are close. Daria also separates voices from a single-microphone recording and has you name each speaker once; she also builds a campaign record and paints portraits from registered character descriptions, so faces stay consistent between pictures.

Which one fits your table?

Choose SessionKeeper if

Your table is in-person most weeks and you want a real app rather than a browser tab holding the recording — that is a legitimate reliability argument, not a preference. It is also available today, and Daria is not.

Choose Daria if

You play on Foundry and want the dice in the record, you want every answer to cite the session it came from, or you want to reach your campaign from Claude or ChatGPT rather than only from inside one product.

Questions about SessionKeeper and Daria

Does Daria have a mobile app?

No. In-person recording runs in the browser on whatever laptop or phone sits at the table. It works, and it is one of the things she was built for — but if you want a native app holding the microphone, SessionKeeper has one and we do not.

How does Daria know who is speaking at a physical table?

She separates the voices out of the single recording, then asks you once to listen to a sample of each and assign the character. From then on the transcript and the recaps use your characters’ names.
