Vampire is a game of politics played over months. A promise made to the Prince in the first story comes due in the fifth, and by then the table remembers four versions of what was agreed. Daria records each session and writes the recap the same evening, so the version that counts is the one that was actually said.
She keeps the chronicle’s canon: who holds what, which alliances stand and which have quietly ended, which plot lines are still open — each with the session that established it. When the coterie argues about whether the Sheriff can be trusted, the record of what he did is a question away.
Clans, Disciplines, havens and a city full of named Kindred give a chronicle a vocabulary of its own. Add those names to your campaign glossary — any player can — and Daria transcribes them the way your table spells them instead of guessing.
