On Discord
One command, and the evening writes itself up.
If your table already plays on Discord, the whole thing is a bot you invite once. /record puts Daria in the voice channel; /stop ends the session and the write-up comes back to the same channel a few minutes later. Nobody installs anything, and nobody signs up.
She is silent for the whole session. Daria has no voice, posts nothing to the channel while a recording is running, and never answers unless somebody asks her something — the failure mode of a bot at a game table is that it becomes a participant, and this one is built not to be. The only thing anybody sees during play is that she is in the voice channel.
Every player is recorded on a separate track, which is the part that decides how good everything downstream is. When six people talk over a critical hit — which is exactly when the good line gets said — a single mixed recording produces one unreadable sentence, and six tracks produce six readable ones. It is also why the write-up knows who said what without guessing: the attribution comes from which track the audio was on, not from a model comparing voices.
A session survives what an evening actually does to it. /pause covers dinner, a rules argument, or twenty minutes of spoiler talk that must not end up in the recording, and /resume picks the same session back up. A player who drops and rejoins keeps their own track. If somebody forgets to stop her, she stops herself after six hours, warning the channel at thirty, fifteen and five minutes first.
Not every table is on Discord every week, and the write-up does not care which way the evening was captured. The same recap, scene index and transcript come back from a session recorded through a laptop on a real table, or from an audio file you already had — a Craig recording, or an export from a tool you used before this one. Discord is the easiest door in, not the only one.
